Your mission

You'll engage directly with Siemens EDA's customers to boost the adoption and utilization of our software in circuit design and verification. This role demands a blend of technical depth, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of the business value our products deliver. Managing concurrent customer engagements, you'll excel in building effective relationships, spanning from the engineering level to first or second-level management.

The Application Support Engineer collaborates closely with the Field Application Engineer and account team, aiding them in surpassing quotas and proactively ensuring customer success. This involves account planning, developing solutions, and contributing to product revenue growth, working seamlessly with sales, marketing, and R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

You will work with account teams to drive adoption of Siemens EDA's AMS & Solido products .

  • Work together with technology experts at major semiconductor companies to understand their challenges and help them use our to solve those challenges.

  • Illustrate the value Siemens EDA brings to customers by assisting them in their evaluations of the AMS & Solido software; developing and delivering software demonstrations and technical presentations; performing benchmark evaluations for customers.

  • Execute both pre-sales and post-sales technical activities, assessing product alignment with customer needs, preparing specifications for customized solutions, and providing hands-on technical support for sales presentations and demonstrations.

  • Developing Technical content for our knowledgebase, tracking and updating customer issues using defined Siemens EDA processes and tracking tools.

  • Drive business using technical expertise and working directly with customers at the appropriate management level to establish criteria for successful engagements.

  • Assist technical teams, including R&D, to establish value for the products and differentiate from the competition.

  • Work closely with R&D to address customer feedback and requests.

  • Contribute towards the product technical sales plan with management and communicate frequently with peers and management on progress and account status.

Qualifications

  • BS / MS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.

  • A nalog or mixed-signal design engineering experience

  • Broad understanding of Analog Design methodologies and flows including the different types of analysis solutions for analog design including Spice, Fast-Spice, Mixed Signal – Mixed-Mode analyses and flows

  • Proven ability to map simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements

  • Track record of exceptional customer relationships

  • Experience with IC schematic tools, such as Cadence® Virtuoso®

  • Experience with analog simulators such as AFS, Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo and mixed-signal circuit simulation tools, for ex. Symphony, Questa ADMS™, Cadence® AMS Designer®

  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills in English, French is an asset

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
