DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on a collaborative team to design interior components for Axiom’s Space Station

  • Provide guidance on design for manufacturability and maintainability

  • Participate in design reviews, as required, and provide mentorship to other Design Engineers

  • Provide input to Project Engineering to forecast scope, schedule, and risks for all assigned projects

  • Support Human Factors / User Experience evaluations

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field

  • 14+ years’ experience in Mechanical Design (or a combined equivalent of education and experience)

  • Proficient in 3D CAD environment (Solidworks preferred)

  • Familiarity with flight hardware development and certification preferred
