Waynesburg Borough Parking Enforcement Agent/Records Assistant in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania

The parking enforcement agent is responsible for enforcing the parking ordinances of the borough of Waynesburg to include the following:

  1. The issuance of parking tickets and citations.
  2. The issuance of parking permits both on street as well as in the Borough lots.
  3. The issuance of notification of late or overdo parking citations.
  4. The escalation of parking tickets to citations as warranted.
  5. Court appearances as it pertains to the issuance of citations.
  6. Directing traffic and manor of parking at events and parades.
  7. The handling of cash and issuance of receipts.
  8. The operation and maintenance of the parking enforcement system.
  9. The preparation of financial and related reports using departmental systems.
  10. Working with the Borough Managers office to ensure the accuracy of financial reports.
  11. Working with the Borough Code Enforcement officer as it pertains to the resolution of parking related matters.  
  12. Answering the phones and window at the police station, taking messages and forwarding them to the duty police officer.
  13. The filing of police reports, crash reports and citations as time permits and as directed.
  14. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief of Police.
  15. At least 18 years of age
  16. No misdemeanor or felony convictions.
  17. Have ability to walk 3+ Miles a day.
  18. Ability to work with public.
  19. Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn department operating systems.
  20. Applicant subject to full criminal and financial background investigations.
