JOB SUMMARY
R.G. Johnson Company is looking to hire a proven leader who demonstrates great attention to detail and can oversee the Concrete Crew members. The desired applicant will primarily aid in the production of concrete used in the construction of service and ventilation shafts for the coal industry. The individual will work with a 2-3 person concrete crew. Work is generally performed on location at an active shaft project jobsite. If applicable, work may be performed at multiple jobsites in a given week. Weekly work schedules are subject to the need for concrete production at a given time and place for active projects. When the situation arises, occasional duties may also include providing job support assistance to our staff at our Operations Support Facility, Shaft Production, or other smaller projects offsite.
Basic job duties include:
· Batching of plant concrete
· Operating and maintaining concrete plant and trucks
· Quality assurance of final batched concrete product
· Construction of precast components to be installed in shaft as needed
Requirements for consideration include:
- Proof of Current Driver's License
- Pass 90 day hair follicle drug screen
- Appropriate State Underground Mining Certifications (paid training)*
- Passing of ATF Background Check- no felony or M1 charges
Previous experience in a concrete related leadership role, construction, or finishing is required
*At least 32 hours of MSHA Underground New Miner Training is preferred
On-the-job training will be provided by the employer
