What you will do: The FRICK brand is produced by Johnson Controls, a global diversified technology and industrial leader maintaining global industrial refrigeration focused operations and serving customers in over 150 countries.

FRICK, the leader in industrial refrigeration, is comprised of many product lines. We have compressors, compressor packages, complete packaged systems, pressure vessels, hygienic air units, heat exchangers, and controls.

How you will do it: The successful candidate will provide engineering assistance to support the design and manufacture of pressure vessels, screw compressors, and industrial refrigeration packaging. Work may include 3D CAD, engineering analysis, and refrigeration and piping analysis.

Duration: This will be a full-time undergraduate summer 2024 internship. Candidates may have the opportunity to work part-time during the semester as well.

What we look for: Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an ABET accredited U.S. college or university Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering; preferably mechanical engineering Currently a junior or senior graduating in Dec 2024 or later Must have CAD experience with 3D modeling, FEA a plus US Citizen or legal right to work in the US Local candidates preferred; no relocation provided Where legally permissible, if hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than his/her start date, unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding, he/she from receiving the vaccine.

Housing assistance is not included as part of the JCI internship; candidates are responsible for arranging their accommodations prior to the start of the internship.Waynesboro, PA is easy to commute from several nearby cities including Hagerstown, MD and Chambersburg, PA.

After the onsite onboarding process, we permit our employees to embrace their preference to be on-site or remote, as the role requires.Summer interns typically work 3 to 5 days onsite, per week, as the opportunity for hands-on training and interfacing with colleagues is needed in this role.
