A Manufacturing Plant in Wayne, NE is hiring a Safety Tech to join their growing team. The Safety Techs responsibilities include helping in the implementation of the Safety System, training and reporting of employees and you will ensure programs and activities are maintained and implemented at both State and Federal OSHA Standards. Other responsibilities will be assisting in safety and environmental training, perform audits and at times may assist the HR department in managing Workers Comp. You’ll want to be part of this experienced team that operates with high integrity!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage safety training materials.

  • Serve as the safety and environmental subject matter expert for the plant.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and company safety laws and regulations.

  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis. Implements corrective actions and continuous improvementactivities as needed.

  • Plan, develop, and conduct safety training.

Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma is required. Training or education beyond GED or high school diploma is highly preferred.

  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Safety Tech or similar.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Solid ability in identifying and resolving problems in a timely, effective manner.

  • Excellent analytical skills: Ability to collect and analyze data and present findings.
