What you will be doing

Set up and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as mixers, pneumatic equipment, conveyor systems, production machines and filling and gassing equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Adjusts functional parts of filling and gassing equipment.

-Setup and adjusts special functional parts in equipment. Maintains and cleans equipment parts.

-Adjusts and operates equipment to insure filling and gassing process is accurate and safe.

-Initiates requests for repair of malfunctioning equipment.

-Maintains a dry, clean, trash free work area.

Qualifications

-Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as batch tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

-Ability to apply common sense understand to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements

-Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

-Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs.

-Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

-Must be able to occasionally climb, balance or smell.

-Vision specification: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
