JOB REQUIREMENTS: Waushara County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Finance Assistant. This position assists in coordinating, organizing, and processing business and financial activities of the agency. Possesses a working knowledge of accounting functions, duties, and requirements within the financial unit. Responsible for the Department\'s time reporting, preparing 1099 report, monthly ADRC three county reconciliation & CARS/SPARC state reporting, provider insurance credentialing and other duties as assigned. Bachelor\'s Degree or Associate\'s Degree in a financial area of study from an accredited school in business/accounting field. Assists Financial Manager in the preparation of state reports and fiscal reconciliations, monitoring the budget and State/County contracts. Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed, year-end accruals, and 1099s. 2. Responsible for time reporting reconciliation and journal entries to redistribute payroll, including calculating Agency Management Support and Overhead (AMSO). 3. Works with the Financial Manager and county auditors on annual fiscal and program audits. 4. Lends expertise to problem solving, improved efficiency of financial procedures, and program oversight and management. 5. Assists with annual provider audit confirmations and single audit reviews. 6. Serves as back-up for the account clerk job duties, which include Medicaid, Medicare and insurance billing, processing weekly accounts payable checks and other assigned fiscal functions. 7. Responsible for all provider certifications and credentialing, maintaining and acquiring network affiliations and securing payments for services provided. 8. Monitors trends and policies relating to issues of insurance, Medicare and Medial Assistance and HIPAA. Attends workshops and meetings related to collections and communicates with staff regarding any third-party payee requirements. 9. Participates in the Financial Services Unit and All-Staff activities. 10. Performs other duties as may be requested by the Financial Manager, Clinical Services Supervisor, Deputy Director or Director. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor\'s Degree or Associates Degree in a financial area of study from an accredited school in business/accounting field. Two (2) or more years of accounting experience is preferred. Computer skills, knowledge of computer software, and intermediate proficiency in Excel Spreadsheets are required.
