JOB REQUIREMENTS: Drive tractor trailer (class A drivers) with muti speed manual transmission and automatic transmission The ability and flexibility to pull body weight safely into the cab from the ground (the pounds of pull would include the driver\'s weight and how one handles oneself) in all types of weather including ice, snow, and rain Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned Perform pre and post trip safety inspection of truck per DOT guidelines Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs Inventory and inspect good to be moved to determine quantities and conditions Secure loads to trailer walls using proper strapping techniques Lift and lower trailer lift gates Place carts and pallets in trucks so they will be available to facilitate placement and movement of goods Pull and push mail cages/carts on and off trailers.
