We have an exciting opportunity for a degreed engineer to join our Metallurgical Engineering team. This position is responsible for defining metallurgical requirements for orders, providing technical support to internal and external customers, as well as assisting or leading continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications The person we seek should have a Bachelor\'s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science, with at least 2 years work experience in metal casting. Because of contractual requirements, this position requires US citizenship. Specific experience with induction furnace melting, arc melting, AOD refining, alloying, or heat treatment of non-ferrous alloys, carbon and low-alloy steels, or high-alloy steels would be beneficial. The candidate should be able to read and understand purchase order specifications and translate the material requirements into manufacturing and test plans. Experience with centrifugal casting and exposure to Six-Sigma / Lean manufacturing concepts is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential.
