Our Waukesha Municipal team is seeking a passionate and ambitious intern willing to work on a variety of office and field functions to improve the places we live, work, and play. We look forward to providing a meaningful experience towards your future profession.

On any given day, you'll:

  • Assist with construction inspection on water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadway, asphalt or concrete pavement, curb and gutter, construction staking such as subgrade and base course; and other duties.

  • Between construction projects, assistance with design projects and plan production would be possible. Duties would vary between Civil 3D design, plan detail drafting, quantity calculations and spreadsheet development.

  • This position is expected to last from late May through late August 2024 and may require overtime and out-of-town travel (generally within 60 miles of the office).

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in civil engineering.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

  • Reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites.

  • Ability to work a minimum 40 hours a week.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Coursework or experience in construction, municipal, roadway, traffic or structural experience is beneficial.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
