NEXT Electric, LLC CAD BIM Technician in Waukesha, Wisconsin

NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time BIM Technician in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for CAD-layout and Building Information Modeling, utilizing AutoCad and Revit.

  • Produces drawings for electrical power and lighting and makes changes to drawings as necessary.

  • Creates master drawings showing relationships of proposed installation in facilities.

  • Works with internal managers/staff and external customers to provide CAD/BIM support.

  • Attends job site walkthroughs as necessary.

  • Uses Trimble to layout building points.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two-year degree in architectural drafting or CAD technology or equivalent combination of education, technical training and work experience.

  • AutoCad and/or Revit coursework or on-the-job experience.

  • Proficient in use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).

  • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) preferred.

  • Trimble experience preferred.

  • Prior construction experience preferred.

  • Strong mathematical skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
