Creative Visions Landscape and Design Landscape Designer in Watertown, South Dakota

*Position Title: Landscape Designer *

Job Summary: Design and manage landscapes from start to finish and assist with snow removal operations in the winter. Design landscapes with pro landscape CAD and/or google SketchUp. Knowledge of landscaping materials, installation procedures, and plant material are expected. $23-35.00 pr hour. Pay is DOE. All inquiries are kept confidential. PTO, Paid holidays, Health insurance stipend, paid cell phone, and $5.00 per hour snow removal differential pay. Tuition Reimbursement, relocation expenses reimbursed, assistance with securing a place to live. $1000 Signing Bonus

Reports To: Owner Major Accountabilities:

  • Pro Landscape CAD and google SketchUp
  • Accountability of time and materials
  • Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to read blueprints and how to read a scale
  • Customer service
  • Plant replacements and customer call backs
  • Ability to mobilize/haul equipment on trailers
  • Snow removal tasks i.e. plowing, hauling, ice control, shoveling, etc.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Work in the field when necessary
  • Work on, clean, organize all job trailers in the winter months
  • Hand clients our project completion templates
  • Return materials/pallets to suppliers
  • Mix salt/sand and make brine
  • Misc. snow removal duties
  • Clean and inspect all snow removal equipment after each storm
  • Compile crew sheets from each job
  • Prepare Client Invoices
  • Budget tracking
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Duties:

  • Customer Consultations
  • Designs - 2D and 3D
  • Creating proposals
  • Use of Pro Landscape, Sketch up, Excel, Word
  • Keep all correspondence between customers
  • Take phone calls from customers
  • Reply to customers in a timely manner
  • Explain projects to foreman or project manager in detail
  • Track leads and sold jobs
  • Offering ideas on how to make jobs run smoother
  • Monthly sales reports
  • Snow removal operations

Education: Secondary schooling is preferred; however, on the job training is available Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
