Jefferson County Department of Human Resources Building Maintenance Mechanic in Watertown, New York

Jefferson County Department of Buildings and Grounds has an immediate need for a Building Maintenance Mechanic. This position is 40 hours per week on the day shift.

Salary Range: $19.90 - $23.93 per hour.

Excellent fringe benefits include: Comprehensive Health Plan, Including Vision Dental Insurance Flex Spending Account NYS Retirement Deferred Compensation Paid Vacation Sick Leave MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either: (A) Three years of experience in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR (B) Six years of experience assisting in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR (C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Appointees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet the transportation needs of the job.
