Google Technical Program Manager III, Software Development, Chrome in Waterloo, Ontario

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience with the full software development processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with mobile feature development processes.

  • Experience successfully managing software programs with multiple stakeholders from multiple teams.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.

Chrome is a fast, secure browser built by Google and Clank is Chrome for Android. Clank’s mission is to build the best browser on Android to help users fulfill their needs on the mobile web by leveraging Chrome's and Google's technologies.

Chrome Browser Technical Program Manager aligned with the Clank development teams, will provide program management leadership and execution of Clank initiatives. You will be a strategic partner within the Clank organization, which is focused on achieving some of Chrome's multi-year business goals.

  • Lead cross-functional teams of developers, product managers, and UX designers/researchers in executing projects and programs from concept to launch - including planning, tracking progress, identifying and resolving issues, and managing dependencies.

  • Design and roll-out processes and tools to increase the velocity of developing teams, and the quality of product launches.

  • Provide program management leadership for the portfolio of Bling priorities; and establish effective partnerships with Bling Developer, Product, and UX leads.

  • Deliver continuous and targeted transparency to keep core team members aligned, and stakeholders informed.

  • Leverage an understanding of mobile feature development to identify and build new operational improvements and processes.
