We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team in Waterloo, ON.

  • Identify and develop potential prospects or opportunities within the assigned territory

  • Aggressively pursue competitive accounts, position and differentiate Van Houtte Coffee Services from competitors

  • Proactively manage and grow customer account requirements and increase sales by promoting new equipment and products

  • Sustain sales activities ; appointments, demos, proposals, cold calls and database updates

  • Manage trials and sales cycle for attributed accounts

  • Meet regularly with account customers to review their satisfaction and ensure expectations are met

  • Carry out regular meetings with front line reps; optimize communication with team members

  • Communicate any changes to customer service expectations

  • Prepare and present customized office coffee solutions to meet customer needs

    The Business Development Manager is an important part of the sales, service and deliver team and is responsible for ensuring that our customers’ expectations and needs are fully satisfied!

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar sales role

  • A college/University degree in commerce or equivalent field of study

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract

    Competencies

  • Proficiency using MS Office suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.) and Salesforce

  • Personal drive and internal motivation towards higher achievements and producing results

  • Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels

  • Flexible and adaptable, willingness to take risks and try new approaches

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team – oriented environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills
