A Day in the Life of our Lead Product Development Scientist (Materials Science)

  • Participate/Lead the development of robust raw materials controls for consistent finished product performance; establishing critical material attributes and appropriate specifications and processing controls.

  • Reverse engineering of products and setting quality target product profile (QTPP), specifications and constraints

  • Support drug product bioequivalence assessments, inclusive of novel alternative strategies, for the identification of critical quality attributes of the drug product.

  • Evaluate techniques to aide and de-risk drug product development efforts

  • Use of risk management techniques and quality by design (QbD) to assess strategies, prioritize activities and initiatives.

  • Lead and drive new projects to a timely and successful completion while harnessing good communication within the team and with other departments (cross functional)

  • Deliver high levels of customer service (both internal & external) and develop professional relationships across multiple departments within the business function

Who we are looking for

Are you….

  • Educated to Masters or PHD Level (in a related subject) ideally with Pharmaceutical Industry Experience

Do you have?

  • Experience in materials characterisation and validation of such techniques is essential. Depending on level of material science experience this role will be filled as a Product Development Scientist or Lead Product Development Scientist as appropriate.

  • Ideally Excellent project management skills and the ability to effectively function in a fast-paced, dynamic technical environment or the desire to gain this experience

  • Knowledge of global regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills and computer skills

  • Be able to work as a flexible lead/member of a project team, be quality orientated, be aware and work to tight deadlines

  • Comfortable working in an agile and dynamic environment with the ability to move with business needs as required.
