Your Role

The Air Export Gateway Agent is responsible for cost-effective movement of air export freight managed by the Air Export Gateway department as directed by the Manager. You will process MAWB consolidations, set trade-lanes encompassing the ATA process. Operational experience in the airfreight industry including prior experience with warehousing/ airline/ GHA/ freight forwarder Air Export Gateway operations. This role working days is Tuesday through Saturday in Dulles.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service regarding quality and data integrity.

  • Prepare, handle and process documentation needed for air export consolidations.

  • Work and collaborate with the air export departments in the region.

  • Arrange bookings with carriers; improve cargo consolidations.

  • Ensure processing and delivery to the airport; constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch during the consolidation process.

  • Track and trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularities.

  • Help maintain relationships with vendors and internal customers.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Ability to listen, comprehend and be pro-active

  • Be profit conscious, individual contributor and part of a team and accomplish multiple tasks and work in deadlines.

  • Solid data entry with high accuracy rate, email, internet, excel, word).

  • Solid knowledge of export procedures/documentation.
