Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school/GED graduate

Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Record Technology and credentials highly preferred. Hospital experience preferred.

Basic computer skills including typing, send emails, use Excel; to name a few).

BASIC FUNCTION :

Performs all clerical functions necessary to file, retrieve, copy, and distribute medical records. Performs various clerical duties as required. Receives/analyzes/completes all mail, phone, and walk-in requests for confidential medical information from attorneys, insurance companies, patients, physicians, etc.

Externally this position interfaces with patients, attorneys, auditors, insurance company representatives, other medical facilities, researchers, physicians, and patient case managers. Internally this position interfaces with physicians, nurses, and hospital management.
