SAIC Submarine Systems Engineer in WASHINGTON NAVY YARD, District Of Columbia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Submarine Systems Engineer for a position located at the Washington Navy Yard located in Washington, DC. This position is 100% onsite.

JOB DESCRIPTION: (Included but not limited to)

  • Provide acquisition support for the acquisition and life-cycle management of submarine and undersea systems to include all phases of project and systems management from initial capabilities documentation to system delivery and follow-on life cycle support.

  • Provide program/project management support for acquisition strategy development, trade study assessments, configuration and document control, schedule/milestone establishment and tracking and cost estimation and control.

  • Coordinate and participate in program and technical status meetings/reviews, developing briefs, documenting proceedings, and tracking action items.

Qualifications

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience; years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience providing technical and program management support for the acquisition of life-cycle support for the U.S. Navy and submarine Program Office or a similar Navy program.

Required clearance:

  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with CI Poly.

  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, to convey technical and programmatic solutions clearly.

  • Team player mentality to collaborate with colleagues and share knowledge to improve and support ongoing/new projects.

  • Organizational abilities to create and maintain project plans, schedules, contracts and budgets to ensure projects stay on track.

  • Strategic thinking to align project goals with organizational objectives and adapt plans as needed to meet changing requirements.

  • Adaptability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with maintenance cycles/availabilities for undersea systems and subsystems.

Target salary range: $115,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
