Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team in the Washington, D.C. area.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Specialist will be focused on providing life-cycle support to PEO Aircraft Carriers by providing lifetime Lead Logistics Analyst Support for all FORD Class Aircraft Carriers under construction.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and track the acquisition of Government furnished material and Government furnished equipment (GFM/GFE)

  • Track material for ships and the executing yards.

  • Participating in weekly alteration status meetings with Availability Managers.

  • Providing valuable information and material status of various alterations, and whether they will be installed during construction or subsequent availabilities.

  • Acts as a liaison to ensure resulting actions from these meetings are resolved in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Coordinate all necessary acquisition functions to meet delivery dates and construction milestones for Ford Class Ships

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience managing and tracking the acquisition of Government furnished material and Government furnished equipment (GFM/GFE)

  • Knowledge of Navy Data Environment (NDE) process

  • Must be able to work closely with various teams on the status of Ship Change Documents (SCD’s)

  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess a current / active U.S. Government Secret Security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
