Naval Sea Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the EXPEDITIONARY MISSIONS PROGRAM OFFICE of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS. You will be responsible for developing, acquiring, fielding, and sustaining high-quality, technologically-advanced and affordable systems to support the mission needs of the expeditionary warfighter. Responsibilities You will serve as a logistician for Expeditionary Systems such as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Anti-Terrorism Afloat (ATA), and Electronic Warfare capabilities. You will ensure industry meets logistics related contractual requirements, evaluation of industry proposals, analyzing and resolving obsolescence issues. You will ensure appropriate ILS products are incorporated into the configuration management and change management processes, conduct training with End Users for program logistics related matters. You will plan, coordinate, and evaluate the product support actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. You will develop and implement comprehensive product support strategies integrating the separate functions of design to cost, Product Support analyses, maintenance planning, provisioning, sustainment, modernization, and readiness. You will manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) to ensure achievement of desired outcomes through development and implementation of appropriate product support arrangements. You will resolve complex product support problems by developing, initiating and overseeing the implementation of unique corrective actions, new programs, major program enhancements and/or policy changes. You will conduct in depth cost benefit analyses, business case analysis, trade-off studies, and analysis of alternatives performed prior to each change in the product support strategy or every five years. You will review and brief recommendations, and conclusions developed by the team which affect long-range program performance and strategies. You will ensure systems product support strategy elements are incorporated into acquisition documentation, procurement specifications, contracts, and engineering documents. You will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of program management, Configuration Management, System Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Quality Management principles, policies, processes, and procedures that affect Logistics Management. You will participate in management meetings as an authoritative representative of the assigned programs within area of responsibility. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-02) or grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support business, combat or weapon systems.
