LMI Aerospace Raw Material Handler in Washington, Missouri

We are looking for 1st Shift (Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm) Raw Material Handler whose primary duties will be SHEAR OPERATION. Material Handling responsibilities are required. We are currently seeking an Operator. This position is expected to run production on CNC machining centers, being responsible for the quality and quantity of parts that are produced during their shift.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cut sheet metal to specified dimensions.
Operate forklift to position bundles of sheet metal to be sheared.
Read basic dimensions and tolerances of blue prints.
Observe operations and verify dimensions of finished product.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
Ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
Able to read and understand blue prints.
Proficiency in measuring and mathematical calculations.
Ability to multitask and maintain organized area.
Able to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail to fulfill roles and responsibilities.
Must be able to work effectively as part of a Team.
Must be able to safely operate forklift, shear, and other equipment.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
