Essential Functions:

Reporting to the Sr HR Manager of HSS, Machining and Extrusions Segment, the HR Business Partner is responsible for providing full scope HR support, including Payroll, HR policies, and programs related to employee engagement, talent planning, and other general human resource topics at this facility. The HR Business Partner will also be responsible for interfacing with Payroll, the HRIS, and Benefits to ensure that day to day HR services are successfully provided. The incumbent communicates continually with all levels of personnel and management.

**RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  • Advising, counseling, training and supporting personnel in the interpretation of and adherence to Corporate and Washington Operations human resources initiatives, policies, and procedures. This includes ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Administer time and attendance system monitoring and tracking employee attendance and creating corrective actions, communicating with supervision and employees to ensure timely compliance.
  • Administer payroll activities and communicate with payroll department to resolve any issues.
  • Gathering pertinent information related to employee leaves and partnering with the Company's third-party attendance tracking service, FMLA administration vendor, and disability leave administration vendor to ensure that all parties are appropriately involved in the management of leaves and returns to work.
  • Supporting all aspects of recruitment and retention activities for hourly and salaried employees; create job postings, schedule interviews, create job offers, initiate and monitor background checks, schedule pre-placement physicals and drug screens, maintained recruitment and employment files, onboard new hires, support ongoing training and development activities.
  • Assisting with employee relations investigations and partnering with legal counsel as needed. This includes providing recommendations for issue resolution and overseeing action plans where appropriate.
  • Provides assistance and coaching to supervisors on employee development and disciplinary procedures.
  • Manages hourly performance review program.
  • Lead employee engagement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
