Shift: 5:30am-1:30pm

Days: Rotating days

SUMMARY

This position helps assist in the preparation, and portioning of meals for hospital patients, Meals on Wheels, caterings and staff in a timely manner.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

  • Follow daily production records for quantities needed.

  • Utilize batch cooking procedures to insure a quality product.

  • Assembling cold plates, prepping salads, vegetables, cutting fruits and vegetables, and making desserts.

  • Follow daily prep and pull schedules as indicated on production records.

  • Document and record temperatures as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience preferred but not required.

  • Serv safe certificate or willing to obtain it.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of temperature requirements.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.

  • Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

  • Basic cooking skills.

  • Basic computer and software skills.
