SAIC Workforce Development Trainer in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Workforce Development expert to support the Chief Modeling and Simulation Office by designing, curating, and evaluating training courses and instructional materials to ensure highly effective education techniques are included in training programs (i.e. - AFSIM) for M&S personnel.

Candidates will provide workforce development support including:

  • Assisting CMSO’s efforts to define, develop, and implement a DAF M&S workforce development strategy and implementation plan to meet future DAF needs.

  • Supporting CMSO Workforce Development lead as a specialist in designing, curating, and evaluating educational and training courses and instructional materials to ensure highly effective techniques are utilized for M&S personnel.

  • Providing expert knowledge in current and novel training and educational techniques, enabling technologies, and concepts.

  • Developing and validating training and educational needs requirements, conducts analysis to address requirements, coordinates with stakeholders to define lines of effort (i.e., cost, schedule, performance, risk), and deliver decisional briefs to senior leadership.

  • Informing and developing processes, technology, and policy to support traditional, integrated, and/or adaptive training programs.

  • Developing a Draft DAF M&S Workforce Development Strategy and implementation plan based to meet M&S Workforce requirements.

  • Developing a military M&S educational pathway for undergrad and graduate students through military and/ or civilian academic institutions.

  • Developing a civilian M&S educational pathway for undergrad and graduate students through military and/ or civilian academic institutions.

  • Developing exchange agreements/mechanism for DAF military and civilian personnel to participate in other DoD Services and international partner M&S related training and education programs.

  • Regularly engaging with M&S workforce elements from the Army, Navy, Marines to gain awareness and establish collaboration opportunities.

  • Assessing the need to develop a DAF M&S AFSC or if Special Experience Indicator is appropriate for future DAF needs.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and nine (9), Masters and seven (7), or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Experience in educational and / or training related position developing education or training related coursework and / or material.

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a Secret Security Clearance

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years’ experience and MA/MS, PhD degree in engineering, research psychology, human factors, industrial organizational psychology, computer engineering/science, operations research, and/or similar field.

  • Highly desired professional training and experience in instructional System Design, or Training Design and Analysis and experience with novel technology applied to education / training or adaptive learning.

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in STEM related mentoring, educational, training activities.

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
