The Building People Warehouse/Work Order Support Technician (Secret Clearance) in Baltimore, Maryland

The Building People, LLC, has positions open for Work Order Support Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering incoming customer calls, utilizing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for documenting restoration, repair, renovation, re-upholstering and cleaning of office furnishings and equipment. In addition, the Work Order Support Technicians will be responsible for incoming service calls. Service calls will include ticketing, delivery/repair actions, and warehousing. The Work Order Support Technician is often the first point of contact for customers’ product and service issues, so we are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to customer service and satisfaction and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions.

Due to the anticipated volume of responses, we will contact only those candidates who most closely match our requirements. Only local candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities include:

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products

  • Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory

  • Manage help desk requests from beginning through resolution

  • Provide restoration, repair, and cleaning of office equipment when applicable

  • Document call requests and queuing them for resolution

  • Close out completed service tickets

  • Track and providing a weekly report of disposition of all service calls

  • Work with repair staff to ensure client needs are met.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Ability to answer, record, and track inbound phone calls.

  • Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with all levels of employees, including vendors, clients, contractors, and the public.

  • Experience in furniture restoration and repair

  • Strong organizational skills are needed, and the successful candidate will be detail-oriented.

  • Strong ability to plan, schedule, and forecast resource requirements for customer service calls.

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including the senior management team.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
