Leidos Terminal Planning Intern in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

Leidos is looking for a Terminal Planning Intern in the DC area. This position consists of providing support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Team responsible for the improvement, sustainment or replacement of various Air Traffic Control Centers, TRACONS, and Towers, throughout the United States National Airspace System.

The intern will prepare and coordinate the plans, schedules and dashboards for new or existing programs. Support consists of development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, Capital Investment Plan projects. Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. Supports and participates in negotiations with customer. Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources. Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters. This position will be located onsite at FAA HQ in Washington, DC, and may include minimal travel.

Primary Responsibilities.

Prioritization of Engineering projects, development of budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for the NISC IV program. Participating in and establishing and defining engineering related program requirements. Monitoring and reporting performance against project plans for cost and schedule objectives. Building project management dashboards in support of terminal planning activities.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in a project management or engineering discipline.

  • Your GPA needs to be included on your application and resume.

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

  • Possess excellent oral and written with proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

  • Be a proactive, flexible, team player and adjust to multiple tasking.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, self-motivation and follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Experience with PowerBI dashboard creation.

  • Experience with integrating data from MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, etc.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
