Dynamic Pro Inc Technical Writer in Washington, District Of Columbia

We are hiring a Technical Writer to join our team! The individual will support our client in the development, review, revision, and quality control of all types of written documentation. The individual will produce a high volume and quality of policy and procedure documentation. This is a full-time telework contract position that will run through the end of June, 2024 with the possibility for work to continue after that end date and potential for occasional meetings onsite in the Washington, DC area. 

Duties:

  • Translating complex Technical Documents into easily understood User Guides

  • Creating and updating various project's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Conducting research and analyses relating to existing or required policies and procedures. 

  • Drafting content for Statements of Work (SOW). 

  • Creating and uploading documentation to SharePoint site weekly and produces reports. 

  • Conducting field observations and interviews relating to internal policies and procedures.

  • Consulting with Subject Matter Experts to ensure technical accuracy and overall quality of written materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum level of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably for infrastructure planning and/or engineering projects;

  • Experience in organizing technical information to document standards, User Guides, rules, SOPs, and handbooks;

  • Background in quality management and quality documentation;

  • Experience working with Controlled Documentation;

  • Ability to extract information from key stakeholders, and to communicate the information in written form;

  • Strong skills in MS Word and experience with SharePoint Library Management;

  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills; and

  • Experience working under tight deadlines.
