Technical Program Manager

Primary Place of Performance: Washington, DC

Mandatory Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI Clearance

Years of Experience: Senior Level (12+ Years)

JFL Consulting is seeking a Technical Program Manager to manage the projects focused on building, securing, and maintaining DOD network infrastructure.  As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, analyzing, reporting technical activities focused on innovative project designs and concepts using state-of-the-art materials; and to recommend potential solutions crucial to ensuring the operability and security of important DOD systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience directly building or supervising a DOD IT infrastructure network build.

  • Working technical knowledge of networking and system engineering concepts.

  • Working technical knowledge of network security tools and tactics.

  • Experience working with/on DoD installations. 

  • Experience conducting high level meetings and daily interactions.

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent management experience and capability.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Stays current on the latest networking technologies and trends.

    Duties to Include but not limited to:

     

  • Manage the schedule, staffing, and technical execution of the project.

  • Direct implementation of network infrastructure.

  • Supervise upgrades of network hardware, software, and security architecture.

  • Ensure network security measures and best practices are implemented.

  • Conduct capacity planning to meet future network infrastructure needs. 

  • Ensure network infrastructure documentation and procedure are maintained.

  • Monitor network health, availability, and bandwidth utilization.

  • Have daily interactions with other employees and subcontractors to assure project requirements are being met in accordance with statements of work and contractual requirements.

  • Oversee and manage daily activities for the project.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related engineering field with minimum in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum 10+ years of direct technical management experience.

  • Preferred: CISSP/CISM

  • Preferred: PMP

  • Minimum Required Certification: DOD 8570 IAT II Certification (Ex. Sec+, CISSP, GCIH, CYSA+).
