Job Description

The Sr Staff Technical Writer will be responsible for

  • Ensuring and improving the consistency and quality of technical documentation and quality documents

  • Implement and promote the technical writing standards and technical documentation creation process

  • Own documentation development including datasheets, errata, application notes, hardware and software user manuals

  • Write the material clearly and concisely, making sure it can be easily understood

  • Editing, proofreading and indexing

  • Contribute to the development of a user friendly documentation creation environment including templates and ‘documentation IP' re-use

  • Standardization and library management of electrical parameters

  • Help to define and maintain the technical documentation guidelines

  • Meet colleagues from multiple disciplines to discuss technology and authoring requirements

  • Take feedback from users and act accordingly

Qualifications

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Technical Communication is preferred.English degree with more than three years’ experience in the technical writing field is acceptable.

Additional Information

Required skills:

  • Technical communication in English

  • Moderate-advanced use of Microsoft Word

  • Some knowledge of microcontroller, software, and IoT terms and technology

  • Familiarity with SharePoint and JIRA

  • Basic knowledge of Acrobat Pro, Visio, DITA writing, and DITA-OT processing

  • Basic knowledge of CMSIS-SVD

  • Must have experience in Technical Publishing software tools like DITA XML, Oxygen Editor, and Madcap IXIA CCMS etc.

  • (Good to have a basic understanding of the Japanese language

At least 3 years of technical writing or technical editing. Experience creating small and large documents with MS Word, Markdown, DITA/XML, and PDF.
