PacArctic, LLC , a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Software Developer - .NET with a Top-Secret Security Clearance to support PAC and our government customer in Washington, DC. A Top Secret (or Secret with ability to obtain a TS) security clearance is required and the position is onsite in Washington, DC. Please do not apply if you do not possess U. S. Citizenship and the requisite security clearance and are not able to work onsite in Washington, D.C.

Software Developer - .NET to be part of a small development team through design and development of custom solutions that query a very large SQL Server database. The ideal candidate has experience in scoping, designing, documenting, developing, modifying, testing, installation, implementation, and maintaining software applications. Preferred experience in performing these activities for staffing and human resources solutions and developing tools and models to support staffing and workforce studies. This position supports the Department of State by providing comprehensive and actionable reports related to workforce modeling in the HR space .

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with a team of software developers and domain experts to design and develop data-intensive, web-based applications in support of a federal agency using the Microsoft .NET framework and SQL Server.

  • Perform software development activities including requirements gathering and analysis, systems design, development, documentation, testing and integration.

  • Play an active role in collaborating and consulting with the client to define requirements and scope project activities as a member of the development team.

  • Maintain/enhance a working data intake and data preprocessor system.

  • Fix existing modeling software code that is currently causing errors due to unexpected data being introduced to the system.

  • Develop new SSRS reports based on client requirements.

  • Develop new WinForms interfaces for data input / data review.

  • Improve performance in existing SQL stored procedures.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with DevOps tools and best practices.

  • At least 3 years of strong, demonstrated experience in web development using ASP.NET and C# with Web Forms and MVC.

  • Strong demonstrated experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server) and developing database-driven .NET applications.

  • Familiar with developing reports using SQL-Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  • Active Top-Secret (or Secret with ability to obtain a TS) clearance is required, for which you must be a U. S. Citizen.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
