This role is part of the Capacity Planning team, part of the VP of Operations for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team. The team defines and consolidates the signal across hardware and networking for all of Oracle Cloud. It is part of the Operations function, which steers the ship, drives strategy to execution through systemic planning, communications, and business operations execution. The team is growing, and we need strong contributors to be part it.

What you’ll do

This is a highly visible role where you will own execution and data governance across all the demand planning across OCI. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders including senior executives, architects, product managers, development and design teams, and external partners to take ideas, turn them into mature processes, allowing us to aid the world’s most demanding customers.

The successful candidate loves data, puzzles, and process. You’ll have a passion for solving difficult and often ambiguous problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, a curiosity about creativity and innovative thinking, can lead a conversation in a room with any level of staff, influence stakeholders to arrive at the correct outcomes, and finally has a strong sense of empathy for both customers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across the planning team to drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Support, and other key stakeholders.

  • Provide Hot Region support and provide solutions mitigate potential issues.

  • Build out customer allocation models using data and potential for growing regions.

  • Help define and deliver complex programs with challenging priorities by influencing roadmaps and priorities of key stakeholders.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and ensuring our product and services meet our high operational excellence standards.

  • Drive execution for on-time, on-scope delivery of user and developer facing features.

  • Ensure high standards and consistency for the Oracle customer experience.

  • Recommend process improvements and serve as an escalation point for all issues and questions associated with a program.

  • Ensure that resource requirements needed to support a particular program are in place.

  • Provide on-going written and verbal release status updates to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical program management or data analytics role.

  • A demonstrable ability to think broadly and strategically.

  • Dedicated problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.

  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling.

  • Judgement, maturity, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills and leadership skills.

  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data in fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building business intelligence tools to drive decisions.

  • Experience leading software and/or hardware development.

  • Experience leading cloud development programs.

  • Experience in enterprise cloud solutions.

  • Experience in handling AI/ML products and services.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
