Credence Management Solutions, LLC Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the General Services Administration's (GSA) COMET program at GSA headquarters, Washington, DC. The General Services Administration (GSA) is an independent agency of the United States government that helps manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies. This program supports the Architecture, Engineering and Advisory (AEA) aspects of the main IT environment at GSA.

This role can be remote with trips to DC to meet with the customer if needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below, as outlined in the contract statement of work:

  • Create and deliver strategic technical presentations, Points-of-Views and White Papers to senior GSA leadership in both the business lines and IT

  • Leading the development teams in maintaining, updating and consistently improving the DevOps pipelines in the local environments.

  • Working with the customer to facilitate the migration of mature DevOps pipelines into their environments (Dev, Test, Production)

  • Providing guidance to the customer for building DevOps capabilities across their environments (Dev, Test, Production)

  • Assist other teams’ DevOps Engineers as they accomplish similar objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust; must have resided in the USA for at least three consecutive years.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required. Masters strongly preferred

  • 10 year’s experience in a DevOps environment.

  • AWS certifications beyond the Associate level preferred or certification must be completed within 4 months of hire at Credence's expense.

  • Experience leading and directing technical development and / or infrastructure Cloud Team.

  • Excellent understanding of Git both GUI and command line (knowledge of Git Flow a plus).

  • Experience with microservice based architecture.

  • Experience with utilizing containers.

  • General understanding of and experience with network configuration (firewall rules, server-client connections)

  • Implementation experience with automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).

  • Linux server administration experience or a deep understanding of Linux/Unix.

  • Prototype, develop and apply software integrations based on user feedback.

  • Analyze code and communicate detailed reviews to development teams to ensure a marked improvement and timely completion of projects.

  • Implement cloud (AWS) computing ability to deploy upgrades and fixes.

  • Able to carry out approaches such as risk-management, clustering, load balancing, and failover.
