ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Business Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

ASRC Federal is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to support a mature Federal Commission’s Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Management and Privacy Program. The organization’s Program seeks to:

  • Better understand, identify, and handle the sensitive information created, captured, maintained and disseminated.

  • Develop rigorous information governance guidance to improve information security and knowledge sharing and ensure appropriate access to and dissemination of information.

  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure Information Governance policies are complied with and develop capabilities to monitor and measure policy compliance.

  • Ensure policies and procedures comply with NIST, NARA, FISMA, and all other applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Business Analyst will work as part of a team to support the overall CUI program and Privacy specific activities to include:

Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

  • Facilitate collaborative activities with organizational stakeholders across 12 program offices to increase compliance with policies and standards, understand challenges in compliance, and update and manage CUI training initiatives

  • Develop and update mandatory training modules

  • Facilitate CUI Governance processes

  • Conduct a recurring assessment of Program maturity across the organization, visually present data, findings, and recommendations.

  • Support development and execution of a strategic roadmap for information governance within FERC

  • Develop and present executive level briefings to organizational leadership team

  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to advance the program objectives

  • Develop and update mandatory training modules

  • Manage, track, and update catalog of document types

Privacy

  • Provide support in developing and reviewing Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTAs) for all applicable Commission utilized systems.

  • Provide support in developing and reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for all applicable Commission utilized systems.

  • Provide support in developing and reviewing System of Record Notices (SORN) for all applicable systems.

  • Support the implementation of new privacy security tools as deemed appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 3-year of related experience (compliance, information security, Change Management, Training, Communications and metrics analysis)

  • Excellent capability in development of executive briefings, strategic recommendations, and roadmaps

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint)

  • Experience in managing enterprise data, or sensitive data

  • Prior hands-on experience with data management, information governance, communications, training and assessments

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to develop effective and visually appealing executive briefings

  • Self-starter with ability to manage own schedule and work independently to meet deadlines

  • Experience working in teams on tasks to deliver a single work product together

  • Desire to work to grow skills and knowledge

  • Shows initiative and intellectual curiosity
