Natives of Kodiak Quality Control Manager (QCM) - The Pentagon, Washington DC in Washington, District Of Columbia

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the planning, development, and implementation of quality control systems for the project.

  • Facilitate preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to understand the scope of work, and specs, and develop the QC plan for the construction project.

  • Reviewing and adjusting subcontractor drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications. You will coordinate material submittal approvals and track progress until completed.

  • Record daily quality control inspections of construction sites including reviewing daily field logs and reports of inspections, project progress reports, safety logs, meeting notes with subcontractors and clients, and detailed notes and descriptions of as-built field changes and RFI’s.

  • Conducts follow-up inspections to verify all work is being performed following the contract documents and the approved project submittals.

  • Manage non-conformance notices and requests for information with corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and manager to effectively manage and resolve issues.

  • Operate RMS software to interface with the submittal of daily QC reports, weekly CPR’s, and other documentation required for KOMAN’s monthly progress payment applications.

  • Coordinate with Government project management personnel and subcontractors to ensure proper QC procedures and documentation are performed and maintained.

  • Create, update, and maintain project submittal logs and all other project-specific quality control reports.

  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct issues and complaints related to quality.

  • Manage contractor and government punch list items and ensure those assignments are completed before final inspection.

  • Develop and analyze statistical data and contract specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished construction projects.

  • Submits project close-out documents that include manuals and warranties.

Education/Certifications:

  • Completed or have the ability to complete CQM-C training and OSHA 30 within the first 90 days of employment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QA/AC in Construction.

  • Previous experience with USACE projects preferred.

  • Previous experience using RMS software is preferred.

  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and gain access to federal and or military Institutions.

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to manage critical issues related to Quality Control.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively, thoroughly, and efficiently as it relates to Quality Control issues.
