Jacobs, ENR’s #1 Engineering Design and Program Management firm, is growing its Energy & Power Solutions team in the Northeast to address the needs of its expanding client base.

By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to deploy and grow your project management skills across a range of active and forthcoming renewable energy, offshore wind, and transmission projects. In this role you will be collaborating across Jacobs’ solution areas in the energy market including renewable energy generation, utility transmission and distribution engineering, development of new energies, as well as sustainability and environmental services to support a diverse, international multi-sector client group.

Your primary role will be to provide and expand our project management services to our energy clients in the Northeast, in particular leading projects that support the move to a net zero future. Projects may include energy and decarbonization advisory and consulting, utility transmission and distribution, interconnection of offshore windfarms to the transmission network, microgrids and more. You will be managing client interactions, internal Jacobs teams as well as external subconsultants.

You will collaborate with our technical leadership and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm. You’ll be expected to possess highly collaborative and sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and support large teams responsible for the daily details of project delivery.

Demonstrated abilities include a broad understanding of engineering and construction in the energy market. Prior experience in planning, design, design management and project management will be highly regarded, as will experience in Owner’s Engineer roles and advisory (technical advisor/due diligence) roles. Knowledge of the renewable energy, utility, and/or offshore wind markets in the Northeast, as well as a strong network of contacts therein will be seen favorably.

Here’s what you’ll need :

· Knowledgeable and passionate about the Energy market in the Northeast and beyond

· Demonstrable track record in project management excellence and leadership

· Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Engineering and/or qualified Project Management Professional, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience

· At least 10 years of design, consulting, or operations experience working with Owners / Developers in the energy market

· Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships and deliver beyond expectations

· Strong communication and technical writing skills

· Exhibits a strategic, innovative and growth mindset and ability to work independently

· Experience in working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
