The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Phlebotomist to support our government customer located in Silver Springs, Maryland.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ​​Responsible for the collection and handling of blood specimens and related assessment of volunteer safety used in diagnosing and tracking illnesses, drug testing, clinical trials, or other health-related areas requiring a blood sample.

  • Prepare lab tube requirements and associated paperwork for next-day visits, ensuring all required documents are present and the correct version.

  • Provide a written monthly update report of any issues or concerns involving the laboratory, freezer storage, or phlebotomy operations (equipment, supplies), and status of or issues involving CLIA/CLP certifications.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Requires completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) program and passing a national PBT certification exam.

  • IATA Certification

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks.

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be able to pass a NACI for Common Access Card.
