FANNIE MAE Marketing and Communications - Instructional Design - Lead Associate (Hybrid) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to creating learning experiences across several modalities that prepare clients and consumers to utilize our platform and tools through strategy and development of digital content, live instruction, virtual, video, etc. You’ll perform analysis to optimize and refine requirements, specifications, and objectives of future iterations. The goal is to create materials, guides, courses, and other content that will assist learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies effectively and in an engaging, customer-centered way.

In this role you will have the flexibility to make each day your own, while collaborating with thoughtful marketing and business partners to drive our company mission and values so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop holistic learning strategy for customer segments/ functional areas.

  • Serve as internal advisor/consultant in troubleshooting to help resolve challenges. Collaborate with management and vendorsto plan, influence, develop, facilitate, and monitor effectiveness of training. Remain informed of trends in workplace learning, design and ; development, learning tools and processes.

  • Analyze content and learner data to translate opportunities into future learning and skill building solutions.

  • Design and develop end-to-end consumer focused learning solutions based on analysis and conduct content review sessions with internal marketing and product groups and external SMEs.

  • Determine the criteria and assessment methods used to measure learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.

  • Simultaneously lead/manage multiple projects/meetings of varying scope and complexity to ensure project timelines, learning objectives, and budgets are met. Ensure high quality and on-time deliverables to maximize the learner experience.

  • Oversee the coordination of cross-functional teams and vendors, to identify and gather business requirements while ensuring compliance with requirements and business needs.

  • Maintain training content for existing programs to ensure it meets the on-going learning needs. Continuously work to improve training content and processes. Recommend changes to existing courses, including technology or instructional methods, to better adhere for delivery options.

  • Research and develop policies, work processes and procedures as necessary.

Note: Some travel may be required to support business unit meetings and/or training and events.

Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent - preferred area of study in instructional design, marketing, educational technology, and familiarity with financial services, mortgage and/or real estate industry.

  • 8-10 years of related experience

Desired Experiences

  • Master’s degree preferred. Area of study in instructional design, marketing, or educational technology.

  • Bilingual Proficiency -candidates who are conversational in English/Spanishare preferred.

  • Demonstrated master proficiency with video/audio editing software's and eLearning development tools such as Articulate 360; Articulate Storyline; Adobe Captivate; Vyond and other authoring tools.

  • Proven experience driving change and adopting new solutions, bringing innovation to the practice of instructional design. Excellent knowledge of learning theories and innovative design models.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop creative, educational materials with robust graphical elements to enhance comprehension, across various modalities to deliver a world-class, interactive customer learning experience utilizing a LMS.

  • Proven ability to manage individual workload with minimal oversight, multiple stakeholders and shifting business priorities.

  • Ability to create realistic objectives, engaging learning activities, and compelling course content to enhance knowledge retention, transfer, and adoption.

  • Comfortable working across new domains to assess development needs and proven success navigating ambiguity with a self-starter attitude.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Exhibits solid career progression in the field of instructional design, and experience delivering learning solutions to large organizations.

  • Able to create and regularly share, expertise and/or mentoring of other team members, including performing peer reviews and offering best practices to resolve learning challenges.
