Federal Aviation Administration Management & Program Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary The EMS Group is responsible for providing support on a variety of human capital needs through coordination and collaboration with appropriate AHR professionals. Responsibilities Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Typical assignments may include leading small project/program teams, designing and recommending solutions to complex problems, preparing and reviewing management reports, and developing and recommending improvements to administrative systems and processes to improve operational efficiency. Assignments frequently require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines. Conducts research, analysis, and evaluation of program activities to ensure compliance/consistency with policies and procedures. Conducts business trends analysis to ensure business practices and activities align with customer needs and expectations. Recommends new or modified work methods, including organizational structures, processes, staffing patterns, and automated work processes, in support of administrative functions or program operations. Serves as the directorate's point of contact for the coordination of personnel documents and hiring activities. Coordinates and collaborates on internal staffing levels, position management, and labor compliance activities with appropriate AHR professionals. Collaborates closely with Management Services (AJG) to initiate and monitor a wide range of personnel actions. Works with managers to identify position duties and develop personnel requirements to submit to AJG for review and approval. Provides Group Manager’s regular updates on personnel actions and matters. Meets weekly with AJG POC to discuss statuses of personnel actions and related program activities. Possesses knowledge of business and programs to collect, analyze, and organize data. Develops and recommends approaches to address current and anticipated personnel and business process problems and issues. Works with management and senior analysts to solve problems. Work is reviewed rarely, typically through status reports and at project completion, to ensure policy compliance and alignment with AHR policies and procedures. May act as a point of contact to provide advice and guidance on the applications of policies and procedures. May be called upon to communicate FAA positions on policies and procedures internally and externally. Guides less-experienced professionals in day-to-day operations. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
