Government Accountability Office Management and Program Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is located in the Government Accountability Office (FMBO), Financial Management (FM). FMBO is primarily responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of GAO's accounting operations, fiscal policy, and financial management reporting systems. As a Management and Program Analyst you will be responsible for establishing, formulating, and assessing program activities that impact the present and future efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities As a Management and Program Analyst, PT-0343-2, your typical work assignments may include the following: The incumbent is involved in programs and processes that affect all of GAO and encompass the work of a wide variety of GAO organizations and managers. Serves as a liaison to or a member of FMBO teams tasked with researching, analyzing, developing, and applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, and improve administrative and operational programs. The work of the incumbent has impact beyond the FMBO immediate office, and in many instances GAO-wide. The incumbent has contact with a wide range of GAO staff (including at the Managing Director level) and non-GAO staff. The purpose of these contacts is to share information, and assist in collaborating on and coordinating various agency-wide communications and project implementation efforts. The incumbent also is routinely in contact with other agencies and the private sector and represents the agency in his/her recognized area of expertise.
