ST MICHAEL'S INC Financial Systems Analyst Senior in Washington, District Of Columbia

St. Michael’s Inc., an employee-owned company, has an opening for a Financial Systems Analyst Senior with experience supporting Federal staff with documentation, and reporting of the CFMO-designated system. The lead FSA will be a Subject Matter Expert on financial systems IT security, the primary point of contact for the FMO staff which he/she is supporting. The lead FSA will possess expert skills in Federal IT terminology and reporting requirements, understanding of IT infrastructure, financial systems capabilities, modeling and/or analytics, communication, teamwork, leadership, and motivation. Additionally, the Financial Systems Analyst Senior will possess extensive knowledge in Financial Management, Budget, and Revenue. T he selected candidate must be able to align with St. Michael’s core values of Excellence in Reputation, Candor, Commitment, Teamwork, and Dependability.

Location: Washington (NCR), DC

Active Clearance required:  Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance or possess an active Public Trust Clearance or higher.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Required:  

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or team lead position (preferably over a financial systems team).

  • 8 to 10 years of financial systems management and reporting.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and inwriting.

  • Ability to conduct detailed IT financial systems research and analysis of technical and cost data/information. 

  • Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, standards and directives.

  • The ability to work effectively with a group or independently

  • Advanced organizational and leadership skills

  • The ability to effectively manage several projects at one time

  • Experience and expertise in analyzing and identifying improvements needed to ad hoc and standard budget and financial management processes.

  • Strong knowledge of Federal financial management systems, including Revenue based systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.

    Desired:

  • Public Trust Clearance or higher

    Duties Include:

  • Taking iterative steps to plan various routine and emergent financial systems activities or assignments.

  • Organizing the financial management systems team while clearly identifying roles and duties of contract team members.

  • Leading the team(s) through completion of requested deliverables, and control daily activities by constantly measuring, evaluating, and correcting daily, routine, and emerging activities.

  • Providing constant status reports on all deliverables requested by the FMO Division Directors, RM Directorate Assistant Director, RM Directorate Director, and, if necessary, with FPS Senior leadership.

  • Ensuring proper and constant coordination is established with FMO staff with responsibilities over financial management systems for Revenue. Additionally, routinely interact with FPS IT staff on all items related to FMO’s responsibilities and/or oversight with systems used for its Revenue efforts.

  • Ensuring all Contractor work performed under this SOW is accurate and complete.

    Education:  A Master’s degree is required in one of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline. Twelve (12) years’ work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree. Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree. Twenty (20) years’ work experience may be substituted for a Doctorate's Degree. A Bachelor's Degree plus 16 years’ work experience, or a master’s degree plus 12 years’ work experience may be substituted for a Doctorate's Degree.
