Requirements

Reporting to the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, the Director of Operations - Women’s Lacrosse will carry out all duties within the stated philosophy of Georgetown athletics and its educational mission, and will adhere to all institutional, Big East, and NCAA regulation to ensure the University’s compliance. This is a non-coaching position which will coordinate the operational aspects of the men’s lacrosse program. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize team travel and coordinate all team travel arrangements (transportation, off-site practices, meals), assisting in coordinating on-campus official and unofficial visits, and in developing recruiting materials (e.g., general correspondence).

  • Oversee the budget, assist with video operations, hire and manage student managers’, assist with game scheduling involvement in game day and video responsibilities, and manage/oversee all logistics to team practice.

  • In conjunction with the Director of Equipment and Transportation, manage team apparel and equipment, organize and monitor inventory.

  • Serve as the men’s lacrosse liaison to the Academic Resource Center and academic advisor assigned to women’s lacrosse.

Work Interactions

The Director of Operations Reports to the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach reports to the Director of Athletics (or designee).

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified, preferably at college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as athletics recruitment methods and techniques

  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments with strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with the ability to foster a cooperative work environment

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be insurable

  • Proficient in computer use and relevant Microsoft applications

  • Available weekends and evenings for extensive travel

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
