Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in supporting large enterprise desktop systems, possessing a deep understanding of various technologies including Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, Endpoint Security tools, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), PowerShell scripting, and Office 365 Microsoft business productivity applications. The role requires a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop systems within a large enterprise environment.

  • Manage and administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to ensure the security and compliance of mobile devices.

  • Implement and maintain Endpoint Security tools to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Support Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, groups, and group policies.

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating desktop management tasks and system configurations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support desktop-related projects and initiatives.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of desktop system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to desktop configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to desktop engineering and IT security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in a desktop engineering or support role within a large enterprise environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Work Space One.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Endpoint Security tools such as antivirus, anti-malware, and encryption solutions.

  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, including user and group management, GPOs, and LDAP.

  • Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks.

  • Experience with deploying and managing Office 365 applications and services.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+ are a plus
