Key Role: Maintain responsibility for maintaining one or more complex databases. Analyze the design, development, and delivery or implementation of data solutions, including architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, analysis of the development of standards, design, and test plans, code, module design development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques, and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution. Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases. Basic Qualifications: Experience with development and maintenance of Logical and Physical database models. Actively developing PLSQL DDL, DDM scripts for large/complex data tables. 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator Experience working with VA Vista Package Experience with supporting Linux, Solaris, and Windows systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration Experience with Database Schema as Code tools (e.g., Toad) Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data Ability to develop DDL and DDM to support changes to Oracle tables Experience with database partitioning and microservices Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC) Experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of Oracle, Experience analyzing and tuning queries to improve performance Experience configuring, integrating, patching, and securing Oracle database Nice If You Have: Experience with code reviews on SQL change sets and work with developers to create and enforce best practices Exposure to security scanning tools, configuring their use and working with teams to fix vulnerabilities Experience with ETL and Data Warehousing methods Experience with Replication technologies such as AWS DMS or Oracle Goldengate Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
