GET, INC. & GET-NSA, LLC Cyber Threat & Warning Analyst / Mostly Remote in Washington, District Of Columbia

THIS IS A MOSTLY-REMOTE POSITION WITH SOME TRAVEL.

In its majority, work will be performed remotely, from the employee's place of residence. Pre-planned travel to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, or Amarillo, Texas, for on-site interaction, support, and training will be required up to 15% of the time.

This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance.

Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Warnings Analyst in support of two national security facilities under the United States Department of Energy. This is a highly compensated, high-responsibility technical intelligence position that is central to our mission's success. The Warnings Analyst collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates cyber warning assessments. This key position is responsible for developing unique cyber indicators to maintain constant awareness of the status of the team's highly dynamic operating environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to requests for information.

  • Contribute subject matter expertise to the development of a comprehensive operational overview.

  • Offer subject matter expertise to the development of indicators specific to cyber operations.

  • Assist in coordinating, validating, and managing all-source collection requirements, plans, and activities.

  • Help identify gaps in intelligence collection.

  • Evaluate the decision-making processes of potential threats.

  • Identify vulnerabilities of the Blue Force to threats.

  • Identify threat tactics and methodologies.

  • Monitor and report changes in threat dispositions, activities, tactics, capabilities, objectives, etc. related to designated cyber operations warning issues.

  • Monitor and report validated threat activities.

  • Monitor open source websites for content hostile to organizational or partner interests.

  • Produce timely, comprehensive cyber operations intelligence and/or indications and warnings intelligence products (e.g., threat assessments, briefings, intelligence studies, country studies).

  • Provide information and assessments to inform leadership and customers, develop and refine objectives, support operation planning and execution, and assess the effects of operations.

  • Alert promptly of imminent or hostile intentions or activities that may impact organizational objectives, resources, or capabilities.

  • Report significant network events and intrusions derived from intelligence.

Compensation Range: $130,000-$155,000/Year

Requirements

Security Clearance:

This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance.

Required education, skills, and experience (as demonstrated by technical expertise and certification, where applicable):

  • Associate's degree with 10+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years performing hands-on threat analysis work, producing cyber intelligence reports and products

  • Extensive experience in monitoring and reporting changes in threat dispositions, activities, tactics, capabilities, objectives, etc. related to designated cyber operations warning issue

  • Understanding of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, policies, and ethics related to cybersecurity and privacy

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles

  • Understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities

  • Comprehension of cyber-attack stages, including reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, gaining access, escalating privileges, maintaining access, network exploitation, and covering tracks

  • Familiarity with different types of websites, their administration, functions, and content management systems (CMS)
