Actalent Construction Project Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia


Job Responsibilities:

 Support the Project Team on projects and assignments of varying complexity and size.

 Proactively manage project-related issues.

 Develop scope, schedule and budget for assigned projects.

 Conduct and document weekly meetings. Accurately and completely document meetings through standard minutes.

 Coordinate and track all RFP’s, RFI’s, submittals, and other information logs. Maintain accurate and consistent

electronic files and documentation.

 Interact and negotiate with general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals.

 Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase and change orders and invoices, update tracking reports and

maintain files for due diligence and financials.

 Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.

% Breakdown -

30% - meeting with clients/internal meetings, attending community meetings

20% - working with the design side, coordinating with Architects/Engineers through design phase

20% - analyzing bids, RFPs, submittals, proposals, managing budgets

30% - monitoring actual construction projects, onsite visits

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (required by all their clients - non-negotiable)

  2. Min 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager on Construction projects doing planning, budgeting, scheduling, etc.

  3. Proven ability to navigate project through permitting process.

Additional qualifications:

 Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level clients.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.

 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
