Actalent Construction Project Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description:

Our client is a top engineering & construction management GC hiring a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent on fit-out and renovation projects in the Northern VA/DC area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe work environment

  • Manage the project change process and punch list

  • Produce, obtain, and organize project management and contractual documents

  • Establish and administer the submittal process

  • Coordinate inspections and monitor project billing.

  • Plan and prioritize to achieve high-quality, timely results within the context of project management.

  • Successfully ensure the accuracy of project documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • 1+ years of Construction Project Management related experience -OR- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of project management software

  • Solid numerical and analytical skills for project budgeting and basic estimating

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Ability to develop productive relationships

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position for a federal project in Fairfax County, VA.
