Stevenson Consulting is an engineering consulting firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions of the US since 1984. We are seeking motivated construction ENGINEERING TECHNICIANS to immediately join our team on one of the most prominent construction sites in the DC Metropolitan area.

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile, long-term project as an integral member of the quality assurance/quality control team. Experience with control/quality assurance practices, concrete/soils practices, and deep foundation practices is a plus.

Key responsibilities:

  • Testing samples of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry and asphalt

  • Observing and recording concrete pouring, placement and curing procedures

  • Preparing field reports and assisting with laboratory testing

  • Daily interaction with clients and team members

  • Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor 

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Work experience in construction industry

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Ability to climb ladders

  • Ability to work off-shift hours, including some weekends

  • Valid driver’s license, with satisfactory driving history
