GCyber Automation Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

GCyber is hiring an Automation Engineer to support a high visibility Executive agency in Washington, D.C. You will be working with a team of professionals developing, deploying, and maintaining automated records management and analytics capabilities.   

As a Automation Engineer, you will:

 

  • Develop custom C# automation solutions to perform comprehensive data audits across multiple datasets, ensuring high-quality data integrity and compliance.

  • Implement code to efficiently extract, parse, and compare data from source and third-party datasets, focusing on accuracy and thoroughness in data handling.

  • Engage closely with internal and external development teams to guarantee seamless integration and data consistency.

  • Design and generate automated audit reports, highlighting discrepancies, and automate their publication to SQL databases.

  • Conduct rigorous testing of automation processes in varied environments to validate their effectiveness, precision, and readiness for deployment.

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) analysts to systematically identify and prioritize test scenarios, addressing potential bugs and data discrepancies proactively.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during automated testing, collaborating with development teams, when necessary, to pinpoint root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Tackle technical challenges inherent in test automation, focusing on enhancing test accuracy, reliability, and overall system stability.

  • Document all automation processes comprehensively to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure maintainability of the automation solutions.

  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and tools in test automation and quality assurance to continually refine and advance automation strategies.

  • Actively seek opportunities to improve the automation framework and processes, aiming for increased efficiency, scalability, and impact on data audit quality.

  • Ensure the meticulous deployment of automation solutions across multiple servers and domains, overseeing the execution of processes on actual data to achieve optimal audit outcomes.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience

  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
